Last Thursday we had the Department of Wildlife come to the 4th grade and do a fun presentation on the Virgin River. We learned interesting facts about the river, the plants around it, fish that live in it, and the important roles we have in taking care of the river.
Then we did a fun activity where we measured certain fish that are native and non-native to the Virgin River and classified them. We used the fishes characteristics' to determine the species. What a fun visit! A BIG THANKS to the Department of Wildlife for coming to visit. We are looking forward to April when we'll be taking a visit down to the Virgin River and looking more closely to the plants and fish!!!
