Snowy Friends

Having three days on our last week of school before our winter break was rough. Christmas was in the air, fun activities were planned, and everyone most wished they could already be on vacation. We started off our week making little sock snowmen.
I called four or five students back to the table at a time.  There they had to fill their sock with rice and batting, pick out the buttons and pom poms, choose the fabric for their scarf and create the face.  Man, was it tough for some!

Next they went over to the gluing station where they got to do the exciting part. . . HOT GLUE!!  I don't know what it is about a hot glue gun but it always is a big hit when we get to use it.  Everyone decorated away. . .
Look at all these fun snowmen!  I think almost everyone ended up naming theirs at one point or another throughout the day.

Our cute snowmen went out to recess with quite a few of us.  I love how there isn't one snowman that's the same!
