Our Spooktacular Halloween

Man oh man!  I can't believe it has taken me a week to get all these pictures up and ready to blog.  Where is all our time going?  Well . . . Halloween came and I couldn't believe how mellow the kiddos were that day.  Too bad I can't say that for the rest of the week when they had their stomachs full of SUGAR. Ha ha   But, really - Halloween was awesome and we all had so much fun.  Check out all the great costumes we had going on in our room!!!
What a cute class I have!!  I love these guys so much and we have a great time together each day!

Polly want a cracker?

Cute friends!!!

The 3 Musketeers of our class.  They are always together!!!

Mrs. Wilcox started our school's parade that morning.  Her and the rest of the office/administration dressed as characters from the movie Grease.
What a cute lion!!  Mrs. Bryan happened to pass by when Matt was taking pictures for me and couldn't resist a close up of his grandma!
Mrs. Brinkerhoff brought along the cutest Rapunzel we'd ever seen!  Notice her Chameleon in her hand.
WHOA!  Remind me never to go visit this dentist!!  Can you tell which teacher this is?!?!?!
Ms. Olivas was a HUGE hit and everyone loved it as Ursula sang "Poor, unfortunate souls" during recess!
Here's most of our Wizard of Oz characters.  We LOVE these ladies who help out in our classrooms each day and couldn't manage without them.  We were extra excited since our own aide, Mrs. Lewis, played Dorothy!
80s ROCK at it's finest - Mr. Howes decided he was tired of being bald so he grew a bunch of hair overnight.  It wasn't long before he was complaining about how hot it all was.
Our party began right after the parade.  Our fabulous room parents came and did such a great job with everything.  We're SO thankful for the many parents who sent goodies to help out with the party!  THANK YOU!  Take a look at all the fun things we did!!!

We devoured delicious food like chicken gizzards, bones of a bat, eyeballs, and lizard toes!  YUM!

While we ate, Dracula told us Halloween jokes.

Then we broke into groups and rotated to different activities.
DON'T EAT THE MONSTER!!!

HALLOWEEN TWISTER

Matt and Luke having a great time!

For one of the activities we went outside and traced our bodies.

Here's Karson showing where he died just minutes earlier.

Another activity involved a HUGE chocolate bar, big gloves, plastic knives, and Halloween dice.
Man was that a good game to play!!!

My favorite game to watch was called FUNNY BONES.  It involved partners, cards describing bones hooked together, and A LOT of laughing!  Make sure to ask your student about that game.  IT WAS HILARIOUS!!!!

"Michael" aka Chanel isn't so sure about this game.
Dallin played with Dracula and made sure to talk with an accent all day!

Tre and Joseph were getting REEEEEAAAALLLLY close!!

What a fun party!  A BIG shout out to our room moms, Tracy Martin and Stephanie Hall who organized it all.  And to Tre's and Karson's moms plus Bailey's dad who helped out at the party.   THANK YOU!!!  We continued the festivities after the party by watching a short Halloween video, writing Halloween poems, and doing Halloween math.
Happy Halloween everyone!
